Demystifying the “Mist” in Humidifiers - and the glamour of PR events

Deskside tours and “preview” events are among the tried and true PR tactics for getting a product into the hands of top editors.  While we’ve seen (and hosted) some glitzy press events over the years, context, not glamour, is the key to media success.

Context, however, extends beyond relevant product positioning. The editors themselves are often looking to be placed in context, which means ensuring every detail is in context - from the venue to the menu to, most important, the story.

For our client Kaz Inc., 360 recently hosted an event themed around natural remedies for beauty, the body, home, and health.  Who said humidifiers can’t be sexy?

Kaz NYC Event

The event took place at New York’s premier raw foods restaurant, Pure Food & Wine. The term raw refers to keeping all of the ingredients under 118 degrees - this preserves the food’s natural enzymes which catalyze digestion.

Sake, for example, (a Japanese liquor brewed from rice) is one of the purest alcohols you can drink with no additives or preservatives and fewer congeners, the primary culprits responsible for headaches and hangovers.

While you’re sipping on that factoid, consider this - the Mayo Clinic states that for women, estrogen levels start to decline sometimes as early as your late 30s, which in turn slows collagen production. This reduces the skin’s ability to retain the moisture the body produces, but can be combated with the regular use of a humidifier, especially in the dry winter months.

Now, drop that Botox syringe and go get yourself a humidifier!
